Chunky V-stitch sjaal // Chunky V-stitch scarf

Terug in september won ik bij Lisanne Happy handmade living 5 bollen Durable Chunky. De bollen waren bedoeld om een sjaal te maken voor een vriendin van mijn broers, omdat zij ons zo ontzettend gesteund heeft de afgelopen tijd. Maar, het was eigenlijk niet haar kleur. Maar er was nog iemand die ons ontzettend gesteund heeft. Het is een collega van mijn vader en zo dus ook een kennis van mijn moeder. Ze woont bij ons achter en komt regelmatig even langs. Ze is er altijd en haar motto is: niks is gek. Mensen hebben snel een oordeel klaar en dingen die wel en niet kunnen. Elke dag naar het kerkhof, nee dat kan echt niet. vuurwerk afsteken op het kerkhof, nee echt niet. Dus zij zegt: Niks is gek. En dat klopt. Doe waar je je goed bij voelt, dat geldt altijd eigenlijk haha. 
Dus haakte ik een chunky v-steek sjaal voor haar. Hij is gemaakt met 4 bollen Durable Chunky en een haaknaald 12 mm. 
Gisteren gaf ik hem aan haar. Ze was totaal verrast en ontzettend blij ermee. En komt goed uit, ze gaat komend weekend op ski vakantie, dus deze mooie sjaal gaat mee op vakantie.

Back in September I won 5 balls of Durable Chunky from Lisanne from the blog Happy handmade living. I planned to use it to make a scarf for a friend of our family, who supported us so much. But, it wasn't really her colour. But there was another person who supported us so much. It's my dad's colleague who lives in the same street. She also knows my mom from when we were in elementery school. She very often comes by to see how we're doing. And she says: nothing is crazy. People always know what you can and can't do. Visit the graveyard daily, not done. firework same thing, not done. So she says: nothing is crazy. And it's true. Do what makes you feel good. 
So I made her a chunky V-stitch scarf. It's made with 4 balls Durable Chunky and a crochet hook 12 mm. 
Yesterday she came by to drink a cup of coffee. I totally surprised her with the scarf. She is very happy with it. And great timing. This weekend she is leaving for vacation to go skiing, so I this scarf will come in handy. 

Morgen begint de Handwerkbeurs in Zwolle en ik ga erheen met mijn moeder. Ik heb kaartjes gewonnen bij Annemarie's haakblog Echt zo gaaf. Ik heb er zoveel zin in.

Tomorrow is the 'handwerkbeurs' in Zwolle and I'm going with my mom. I won tickets at Annemarie's haakblog I'm so excited.

Butterscotch Tassel Scarf

Een paar weken terug kwam ik een heel mooi patroon tegen. Mijn moeder en ik vonden het allebei geweldig. Het was de Butterscotch Tassel Scarf van Hopeful Honey. Ik besloot het patroon aan te schaffen. Ik had nog 2 bollen Super Bulky van de Hema liggen, ergens vorig jaar gekocht, en dat garen was er perfect voor. Het enige wat nog ontbrak was een haaknaald nr. 15 mm (!!) Die zat niet zomaar in mijn haaknaaldenset. Uiteindelijk vond ik de haaknaald op de markt. En dus kon ik 2 weken terug eraan beginnen. 

A few weeks ago I came across a beautiful pattern. My mom and I both loved it. It was the Butterscotch Tassel Scarf from Hopeful Honey I decided to buy this pattern. I still had 2 balls of Super Bulky yarn from the Hema, which I bought last year, and this yarn was perfect for this pattern. The only thing that I was missing was a 15mm crochet hook. I didn't have that. Eventually I found the hook at the market. And so 2 weeks ago I could start.

Ik haakte onderweg naar Beleef Landleven de eerste toeren.

En toen, na een maandag snel haken, was hij af. Een heerlijke chunky sjaal. Afgelopen zondag nam ik de sjaal mee naar Landgoed Twickel in Delden, voor een mini photoshoot. Credits van de foto's zijn voor mijn moeder.

And then, after a Monday of fast crocheting, it was finished. A nice chunky scarf.

Vooral de manier van knopen van de sjaal vond ik apart en nam ik direct over van Olivia van Hopeful honey Heel erg leuk.

Mijn eerste wintersjaal van dit jaar is weer klaar. Ik kocht al meer van die Super Bulky bollen bij de Hema om nog een paar mooie sjaals te maken. Ook omdat ik nu nog de personeelskorting krijg, aangezien mijn contract niet verlengd is en ik per 31 oktober bij Hema uit dienst ga.

 (ik kocht ook direct een paar patronen van Hopeful honey erbij) 

So my first winter scarf for this year is finished. I bought more Super Bulky yarn at the Hema to make a few more beautiful scarf. Also because I still get my staff discount, since my contract wasn't extented so at 31th of October will be my last shift at the Hema, ever.
