granietsteek omslagdoek // moss stitch shawl

De granietsteek omslagdoek van by claire was in 2016, toen die gepubliceerd was, razend populair. Ik heb hem toen gemaakt met ander garen en dat was niet zo geweldig, ik gaf de sjaal weg. Hij stond nog op mijn lijstje om ooit te maken, maar het kwam er niet van. Op 9 september deelde Echtstudio een foto van de omslagdoek maar dan in een andere kleurencombi. Ik was direct verliefd op de kleuren. Echt geweldig. Ik wilde hem heel graag maken. Maar, echtstudio had de kleuren niet gedeeld. Ik dacht, nou dan wacht ik wel. Maar op vrijdag 13 september hadden ze een korting actie op de ByClaire garens. Ik dacht, dat moet ik hebben. Ik pakte de foto erbij en zocht de kleuren op de gok uit, en voegde nog 2 extra kleuren toe. Een dag nadat ik had besteld, deelden ze de omslagdoek als haakpakket. Ik checkte, ik had de goede kleuren besteld. Jeej. 

Ik nam de bollen wol mee toen wij een dagje naar de de Moezel gingen, in Duitsland. Rustig tijd om te haken dus. Aan het eind van de dag was mijn sjaal bijna af. 

De foto's maakte ik vorig weekend, toen het mooi weer was. Het is nu toch al de hele week regenachtig, brrr. Ik heb wel mijn sjaal nu al een aantal keren kunnen dragen. 

Ik maakte, net zoals de vorige keer, weer een brushlettering compositie voor bij mijn project. Erg prettig om zo mijn brushlettering te oefenen en een mooi plaatje te hebben voor mijn blog.

The Moss stitch shawl from  by claire was really popular, back in 2016. I made one in a different yarn, but that wasn't great, so I gave it away. I put it back on my list to make it again, but I never did. Till now. On the 9th of September Echtstudio shared the shawl again, in different colors. I fell in love with it. I really wanted to make them. But they didn't share the colors they used. I thought, well I'll wait. But on Friday the 13th of September Echtstudio had a sale on the By claire yarns. I thought, well now it's time to take. I looked at the picture and chose the colors and added another 2 colors. A day after I ordered, they shared the shawl as a yarnpack. I checked, I ordered the right colors. Yeah. 

I took the yarn with me when we went to the Moezel in Germany, for a day. Relaxing crochet time in the car. At the end of the day I almost finished the whole shawl.

I took the pictures last weekend, when the weather was nice. It has been rainy here all week, brrr. But I was able to use my shawl already haha.

Just like last time, I made a brushlettering composition for my project. Really nice to practice my brushlettering and have a nice picture for my blog.

Mijn tweede blaadjes sjaal // My second leaves scarf

Na mijn geweefde plaid van mijn vorige post, maakte ik mijn tweede blaadjes sjaal. Voor mijn eerste blaadjessjaal  klik hier. Die haakte ik al in 2016. In juni kocht ik op het haak en breifestival een streng handgeverfd garen en ik wist direct dat ik hiervan een blaadjessjaal wilde maken. De kleuren deden mij echt aan de herfst denken. Het patroon is telkens een herhaling van een aantal toeren dus niet echt een tomeloos haakproject, maar echt goed opletten wat je doet. Maar ik haakte in goed een week de hele sjaal af. Ik maakte de hele streng op en ik haakte met haaknaald 4,5. 

En sinds een tijdje ben ik bezig met handlettering en brushlettering. Ik besloot het haken daarmee te combineren en maakte een mooie compositie voor mijn blaadjes sjaal. Deze kan ik dan mooi gebruiken bij foto's maken.

Vandaag is het voor het eerst in dagen weer mooi weer en ging ik snel naar buiten om foto's te maken.

After my plaid from my last post, I made my second leaves scarf. You can find the first leaves scarf  here. I made that one in 2016. I bought a skein of beautiful handdyed yarn in Arnemuiden this year and I immediately thought of the leaves scarf. The colors in the yarn made me think of autumn and leaves. The pattern is a repeat of multiple rows so it wasn't just crochet and go, but I really had to pay attention to the pattern. I finished the scarf in a week time. I finished the whole skein (with a little tiny ball of yarn left) and crochet hook 4,5

I have been doing some handlettering and brushlettering. I decided to combine my 2 hobbies and made a nice composition for my leaves scarf. With the intention to use it while taking photos.

Today the weather is really nice with the sun shining through so I quickly went outside to take photos.
