cake swirlz omslagdoeken // cake swirlz shawls

Een tijd geleden hadden ze bij de Action grote bollen cake swirlz. Een beetje zoals Caron Cakes in Amerika enzo. Ik kocht gelijk een heel stel op en zocht naar patronen. Ik zocht uiteindelijk patronen waar ze caron cakes gebruikten. En zo kwam ik bij het blog van Left in knots terecht. Zij heeft heel veel gratis patronen voor sjaals. En die heb ik dus ook gebruikt.

A while ago I bought big balls of cake swirlz at the action. They're a bit like Caron Cakes in America. I bought a lot of them (still have 4 left) and I started looking for pattern. I eventually started looking at pattern where they used Caron Cakes. And that's how I ended up at the blog of Left in knots She has a lot of free patterns for shawls. And I used them.

Floortje vindt alles interessant.

Deze 2 onderste zijn granny steek, kan alleen het patroon zo gauw niet terugvinden.

The next 2 are a granny stitch, but I just can't find the original pattern I used.

Deze is voor mijn broers vriendin, voor kerst alvast. haha. Ik ben er vroeg bij dit jaar.

This one is for my brother's girlfriend, for Christmas already. haha. I'm early this year.

Virus shawl

De virussjaal. Al talloze keren zag ik hem voorbijkomen maar nog nooit maakte ik hem. Tot ik de Cake swirlz bollen kocht bij de action. Je hebt het misschien wel voorbij zien komen, er ontstond een ware run voor dit garen. €2,99 per bol...dus voor weinig een mooie omslagdoek of sjaal. Ik heb uiteindelijk elke kleur gekocht. Van een aantal 1 bol, en van 3 kleuren 2 bollen. Toen ging ik op zoek naar een patroon. Ik kwam uit bij de Virus sjaal: Voor het patroon Klik hier! Ik begon aan de sjaal en nam hem mee toen we een dag naar Zandvoort gingen, mijn oudste broer ging naar het Max Verstappen evenement en wij (mijn ouders en ik) gingen naar het strand en Zandvoort in. Lekker haken met uitzicht op het strand. Ook haakte ik eraan toen mijn opa in het ziekenhuis, nadat hij was opgenomen met een beroerte (alles gaat goed nu, lichamelijk. Mentaal is hij nog een beetje in de war). Uiteindelijk is alles goedgekomen. Ik ben erg blij met hoe de sjaal is geworden. 

The Virusshawl. I have seen it so many times, but never made it. Untill I bought the Cake swirlz at the Action. After I bought all the different colors, I started looking for patterns and I came out with the Virus shawl. I started on the shawl and brought it to Zandvoort, where my brother went to the Max Verstappen event and we (my parents and I went to Zandvoort and the beach. Crochet and a beach view. I also took it with my when I went to visit my grandfater in the hospital, after he had a stroke. (everything is better now, physically. Emotionally he is a little confused). 

I love the way the shawl turned out.
