granietsteek omslagdoek // moss stitch shawl

Toen ik Deze post van Echtstudio zag, moest ik het garen voor deze omslagdoek gewoon bestellen. Het was DMC Natura en ByClaire Sparkle. 2 garens waar ik nog nooit mee gewerkt had. Ik vond het erg leuk om eens uit te proberen. DMC natura is fijn katoenen garen en lekker om mee te werken. ByClaire Sparkle vond ik niet zo fijn, maar dat komt omdat de glim draad gewoon vrij stug en hard is. Achja, dat hoort erbij. Ik haakte met haaknaald 4,5 en had in totaal 4 bollen van de basiskleur, maar ik gebruikt er maar 2,5. Dat vond ik wel jammer, want ik had dat een bolletje minder aan kunnen schaffen. Maar ik ga mijn moeder een mooie sjaal maken van de resten.

When I saw this post from Echtstudio, I just had to order the yarn to make the shawl. It was DMC Natura and ByClaire Sparkle. 2 types of yarn I never worked with. I really enjoyed trying it out. DMC Natura is a nice cotton yarn and nice to work with. ByClaire Sparkle wasn't really nice to work with (in my opinion), but that's because the sparkly thread is very rigid and hard. well, nothing to do about it. I used crochet needle 4,5 mm and I bought 4 balls of the base color, but I used only 2,5. That was unfortunate, because I could have bought 1 ball less. But I'm going to make my mom a nice shawl of the leftovers.
